The Russian defense industry is actively working on the development and improvement of unmanned boats for various purposes. Recently, a new version of a multi-purpose marine unmanned vehicle has entered the stage of serial production
The Vizir BEC is being developed by the Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial concern. "Vizir" is a modern Russian solution in the field of unmanned maritime systems.
The BEC can deliver cargo, conduct reconnaissance, and carry guided weapons on board. "Vizir" is controlled by artificial intelligence and a program, which means it is able to work without operator supervision.
The length of the heavy marine drone "Vizir" is 7 m, width - 2.5 m. Speed - up to 45 km / h, range - up to 270 miles (about 500 km). Thanks to a special platform, the marine drone can operate in strong winds and waves. After passing the pre-set coordinates, the marine drone will return to the starting point.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec had increased ammunition production by tens of times, and artillery shells – by six. The state corporation fulfills the state defense order at almost 100%.
