In January-September 2024, the production of passenger cars in Russia increased by 39.3%, amounting to 508 thousand units. This data was provided by Rosstat. In September, car production increased by 2.7% compared to the same period last year and by 29.5% compared to August 2024.
The production of trucks for the same period reached 141 thousand, which is 11.7% more than in 2023. In September, growth compared to last year was 3.9%, and in comparison with August 2024 — 27.5%.
Also, the production of buses weighing more than 5 tons increased by 17.1% in nine months, reaching 11.1 thousand units. In September of this year, their production increased by 9.7% compared to September 2023 and by 39.6% compared to August 2024. At the same time, the production of buses weighing less than 5 tons increased by 2.2% for the period January-September, but in September it decreased by 25.8% compared to last year and by 16.3% compared to August.
