The "Knyaz Pozharsky" nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) of Project 955A (code "Borei-A"), built at the "Sevmash" plant of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, is currently undergoing state trials.
The ship was rolled out of the "Sevmash" slipway on February 3. It is planned that the submarine will be handed over to the Russian Navy before the end of 2024.
The SSBN "Knyaz Pozharsky" is the eighth in the "Borei/Borei-A" series of nuclear submarines. Each of the ships in this series carries 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles "Bulava" with multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology.
Earlier, Rostec announced the invulnerability of the "Product 305" missile to enemy electronic warfare systems at the front. It always reaches exactly where the helicopter carrier crew directs it.
