Глава NAMMO Мортен Брандтцег: Снарядам нужна большая точность, дальность, маневренность

The West cannot compete with Russia in terms of ammunition production volume. This was stated by Morten Brandtzaeg, CEO of the Norwegian company NAMMO (a leading European ammunition manufacturer). According to him, "competing with Russian artillery shell manufacturers on a one-to-one basis is useless, so you need to take not quantity, but quality."

Russian President Vladimir Putin during a visit to Uralvagonzavod (part of Rostec)
We are competing in industrial capacity, but the result of this is not competition with Russia one-to-one in terms of the volume of shells, but an increase in advantage through technology. This means greater range, accuracy, and greater maneuverability.
Morten Brandtzaeg

He acknowledged that Europe and the United States will not be able to produce as many shells as Russia. At the same time, Brandtzaeg called the increase in spending on the military industry by individual countries "a huge step forward."
