The "Osa" anti-aircraft missile system has shown high effectiveness against drones on the front lines. The capabilities of the system were assessed in the Russian Ministry of Defense.
One of the "Osa-AKM" SAM system crews of the Airborne Forces destroyed two enemy reconnaissance drones.
The "Osa" SAM system has proven itself well in terms of working on small-sized aircraft, such as "Furia" and "Leleka", as well as on more significant aerial targets.
The department added that the "Osa" SAM system crews provide cover for command posts and artillery of the Airborne Forces unit. The system allows detecting and destroying small-sized UAVs at a distance of more than 10 km.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Product 305" has been modernized. Now the missile flies to a distance of more than 20 km.
