A new type of transport payment has started working in Russia, it is carried out through a mobile application. A passenger's bank card must be linked to it. A QR code is used as a preliminary ticket. It is issued after the software determines the passenger's location, and there is the required amount of money in their account. As soon as the trip is completed, the program will calculate its full cost, debit the money and issue an electronic check.
This payment method can be used on urban transport in Tver, Yaroslavl and Izhevsk, as well as on suburban routes in Kazan, the Kaliningrad region and Nizhny Novgorod. In the future, it is planned to expand the geography of the service to Volgograd, Sochi, St. Petersburg and other cities in the country.
The authorities plan to create an opportunity for passengers to travel with a single travel document, which will probably be stored on a person's smartphone.
