MacBook Pro with M4 processor sold in Russia before official announcement

One of these laptops is on sale for 720 thousand rubles in Moscow

MacBook Pro laptops that Apple has not yet officially announced have appeared for sale on Russian classifieds websites. This was reported by journalists from MacRumors.

It is noted that laptop models based on the new M4 processor have been spotted on several classifieds platforms, although their official presentation has not yet taken place.

One of these laptops turned out to be a MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of built-in memory. A seller from Moscow offered it for 720 thousand rubles, which is noticeably higher than the prices for similar devices in the USA. Journalists suggest that such devices could have appeared on the markets due to reviews by Russian bloggers, who probably received the laptops before the announcement.

MacRumors journalists believe that these devices could have been taken out of Chinese warehouses that serve Apple's supplies, which violates the company's strict security measures. The journalists recalled that the last major leak occurred in 2010, when an iPhone 4 prototype was accidentally left by an employee in a bar in California.
