The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial holding is strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It is planned to manufacture AD5.2 air-cooled diesel generator sets with a capacity of 4.5 kW and a voltage of 230 V. This was reported by the company's press service.
The stations are manufactured in a protective casing, have a heating system for operation in a temperature range from -50 °С to +50 °С, and are designed for 11 hours of continuous operation. They will also be supplemented with a set of spare parts for timely maintenance.
The units will become backup power sources on special-purpose vehicles.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that KMZ will become the sole production center for unmanned boats.
