Users of free Wi-Fi at railway stations and stations of Russian Railways downloaded more than 2.2 petabytes of data from January to September of this year. This is 22% more compared to the same period in 2023. This was reported by the press service of the company "Russian Railways".

The Adler station turned out to be in the first place in terms of the amount of downloaded data — 44 terabytes. In the second — the Krasnodar station with 40 terabytes. The third place was taken by the Paveletsky station in Moscow with 37 terabytes of downloaded data.

Since the beginning of 2024, more than 5.7 million people have used free Internet via Wi-Fi at railway stations and stations. The most active were travelers from:

  • Adler — more than 298 thousand connections.
  • Rostov-on-Don — more than 113 thousand connections.
  • Moscow — almost 99 thousand connections.

Free Internet via Wi-Fi is available at more than 400 railway stations and stations of Russian Railways. The service covers both large station complexes and small stations and transport hubs (TPU).
