The unified training flight squad, which will prepare pilots for all airlines in the Aeroflot Group, will become the largest in modern history. Three hundred of the best graduates and 4th-5th year students from Russian civil aviation educational institutions will be selected. Previously, a similar project included no more than 60 of the very best students.
Future pilots of the training flight squad will undergo psychological testing and entrance examinations in core subjects and English. In Aeroflot's training flight squad, young pilots will undergo training and retraining on Superjet 100, Airbus A320, and Boeing 737NG aircraft. Thus, a unified personnel resource of young flight personnel will appear, who will be distributed among the airlines of the Aeroflot Group depending on the needs in flight personnel of each air carrier.
