In September 2024, sales of cars that were imported into the country through parallel imports increased by 30%. This was announced by Nikolai Ivanov, head of the new car sales department at Rolf.
The demand for hybrid and electric vehicles has grown particularly noticeably — twice as much compared to the same period last year. In addition, buyers began to make decisions about purchasing cars of brands that have left the Russian market faster.
Also in September 2024, there was an increase in sales of Chinese-made cars. In Rolf dealerships, the most popular models were Haval Jolion, Chery Tiggo 7 and Omoda C5. In September, Rolf set a new sales record this year.
As a reminder, in accordance with the decree of the Russian government, from October 1, 2024, the amount of the recycling fee for cars and trucks, buses, trailers and some types of road construction equipment will gradually increase.
