The Rutube application is now available on Google Play only for users from the USA. The Russian video hosting service has suddenly become a "Hollywood exclusive."
A funny mix-up occurred in the Google Play store: instead of introducing strict sanctions, the Rutube application became available only in the USA!
The press service of the domestic video hosting service ironically noted that Americans are actively interested in the art of Russian stand-up and master classes in cooking dumplings. Russians, in turn, are puzzled as to how their national product suddenly became "exclusive Hollywood content."

Google Play is trying to restrict access to the Rutube application in almost all countries except the United States of America.
In August, the Rutube mobile application disappeared from the AppStore. Later, the company announced that this was due to sanctions imposed by the American corporation. Roskomnadzor sent an official letter to the App Store administration demanding that restrictions on Rutube be lifted and the reasons for removing the application be explained.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Rutube service is implementing its player on third-party sites. It can be integrated for automatically uploading content from channels and adding playlists with videos corresponding to the theme of their resources.
