Yandex has announced the upcoming launch of a new service called Yandex BareMetal, which provides the ability to rent dedicated physical servers through the Yandex Cloud platform. This service offers customers complete control over the computing power of servers, including configuration for specific tasks, installation of operating systems, virtualization tools, and other necessary software.
Yandex BareMetal servers are located in the company's secure data centers in Russia, and Yandex Cloud takes over the tasks of equipment maintenance. The service is integrated with the cloud console, through which you can select the server configuration — the number of processor cores and the amount of RAM. For those who need a ready-made solution, pre-configured servers are offered, which can be launched in just 30 minutes.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, closed testing of the service will begin, and interested users can leave a request to participate in it.
