Подержанные авто резко подорожают в России

Цены начнут расти с конца сентября и за пару месяцев достигнут максимальных значений

Representatives of Russian dealerships have warned that following the increase in prices for new cars, the cost of used cars is also expected to rise. Andrey Grishakov, head of the used car sales department at Avtodom and AvtoSpetsCenter, suggested that prices for used cars will increase immediately after the introduction of new rules for calculating the recycling fee.

As for cars in the domestic market, price increases will begin at the end of September and will reach maximum values within a few months.

The cost of used cars may change for various reasons, including the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Russia, exchange rate fluctuations, and a shortage of certain models.

At the same time, according to Roman Titov, Deputy General Director of Avilon, who is responsible for the used car segment, an increase in prices for new cars usually leads to an increase in the cost of used cars. According to the expert, in September, demand for cars in both the primary and secondary markets will remain high, as in August, and will begin to fall from November.

As a reminder, the recycling fee for vehicles will increase from October 1. At the first stage, the rate will increase by 70–85%, then the recycling fee will be indexed by 10–20% from January 1 of each subsequent year.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that prices for new cars in Russia would increase even before the increase in the recycling fee. Renat Tyukteev, Deputy General Director of AG Avilon for new car sales, advised Russians to decide as soon as possible whether they need to change their car or not.
