Make Money on iPhone 16: Number of Fake Websites Featuring Apple's New Product Increased 30-Fold Online

The iPhone 16, released on September 9, has become the flagship smartphone of the next generation

Since the beginning of autumn, the number of fraudulent websites allegedly selling flagship iPhone 16s has increased 30-fold (197 fake portals) online. The new product was officially presented on September 9. Most of them were registered anonymously, according to BI.ZONE Brand Protection experts.

According to Dmitry Kiryushkin, head of BI.ZONE Brand Protection, Russians want to get the new iPhone model cheaper and earlier than others, so they risk encountering fraud.

Therefore, it is always important to remain vigilant and check website addresses.

Analysts at Kaspersky Lab added that attackers often offer customers the opportunity to pre-order the iPhone 16 with a discount of almost 40%. For example, the Pro Max model is sold for $499.

If a buyer adds an item to the cart, a fake invoice is generated. Next, the client provides their card details, as a result of which confidential information ends up in the hands of fraudsters. Then this information leaks into the darknet.
