Production Problems: Military Expert Explains Russia's Purchase of Iran's Most Accurate Ballistic Missiles Fath-360

Military expert Samaan: Iran has developed one of the most advanced arsenals of ballistic missiles

The United States has accused Iran of supplying Russia with Fath-360 ballistic missiles, stating that the Russian Armed Forces could use them "within weeks." Military experts have cited the reasons why Moscow began receiving Iranian missiles. This is reported by Breaking Defence.

Over the past two decades, Iran has developed one of the most advanced arsenals of ballistic missiles, and most of them are short- or medium-range missiles.
Jean Lou Samaan, Senior Fellow at the Middle East Institute

According to him, the Russian Armed Forces can use the Fath-360 at the tactical level to exhaust the enemy. Samaan claims that Moscow is increasing purchases of Iranian missiles due to problems with its own production.

Fath-360 is a derivative of Iran's most accurate ballistic missile, the Fateh family of single-stage solid-propellant short-range ballistic missiles.
Behnam Ben Taleblu, expert at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies

Another expert, Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Jan Casapoglu, stated that the Fath-360 is a "classic tactical ballistic missile", whose "rapid launch and low cost make it a formidable weapon".

All experts agreed that Russia and Iran are strengthening military-technical cooperation. This could lead to a change in the balance of power in the Middle East and other regions, they concluded.
