Убережет от самых частых ранений на фронте: противоосколочный плащ разработали в России

Multifunctional cloak can also be used as a camouflage robe or stretcher

Russian military personnel have developed and manufactured the first experimental model of a protective cloak in the field. It allows saving soldiers from shrapnel wounds, which are the most frequent type of injury on the front line.

Up to 90% of military personnel receive shrapnel wounds. To combat this, we have developed a cloak. It consists of several layers of Kevlar and is attached to a bulletproof vest.

The size of the cloak allows to completely protect the soldier who uses it. At the same time, the cloak turned out to be multifunctional: protection from snow and rain, a stretcher and a camouflage robe. The material does not burn and does not get wet.

This is a trial prototype. Its cost is low, but it will allow saving more military personnel in the ranks to perform combat missions. There will be fewer wounded.

In the future, motorized riflemen plan to make the necessary improvements to the design of the product, because its modernization potential is quite large.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia developed an all-weather drone "Prygun-1". The drone was created for reconnaissance behind enemy lines and flights in arctic conditions.
