Insiders have published photos of the Xcite X-Cross 8 crossover. The car from the AvtoVAZ scientific and technical center's fleet is undergoing testing in Sosnovka.
Technically, the car is a copy of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. It is likely that the car will soon be assembled at the factory in St. Petersburg.
Note that XCITE brand cars are not selling very well. In August, only 1005 X-Cross 7 cars found buyers. The total number of cars sold since the end of May is 2,359 units.
The plant plans to assemble 22,000 cars in 2024. The company seems to be coping with this, with about 12,000 units left to produce. But it is not known how the sales plan will go, the manufacturer does not disclose its planned figures.
