«Odnoklassniki» has introduced new features to protect users from unwanted communication.
The social network has a "Requests" section, where messages from unfamiliar users are now automatically placed, even those with whom there are mutual friends. This section is available in all versions of the mobile application, and in the web and desktop versions it appears only when a message is received from an outsider. Correspondence requests are not mixed with dialogues with friends, which helps not to miss important messages. To respond to an unfamiliar message, you need to accept the request for correspondence.
Also, in the profile settings, you can choose who can send personal messages, including the "Friends" option, to completely restrict the ability to receive messages from unfamiliar users.
In addition, a function has been added to prohibit adding to group chats. Users can configure restrictions in the "Messages" section in the profile. If the user does not prohibit adding to chats, he will be able to see who exactly invited him to the new chat.
It is emphasized that these changes are aimed at improving the comfort and safety of communication in «Odnoklassniki». The company is also introducing technologies for automatic detection and filtering of unwanted content, including erotic materials and obscene words.
