The Russian crew of the Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system has already adapted to the aeroballistic properties of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system shells and confidently shoots them down, the Ministry of Defense press service reported.
In total, the fighters eliminated about 60 HIMARS rockets and Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

The 9K317 Buk-M2 medium-range air defense system is designed to engage cruise missiles, helicopters, tactical and strategic aviation aircraft, and other enemy aircraft throughout the entire range of use in conditions of intense electronic and fire counteraction from the enemy.
Earlier, former Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Air Force Issues of the CIS Joint Air Defense System, Lieutenant General of the Reserve Aytech Bizhev, expressed the opinion that it is necessary to rethink Russian air defense. According to him, the system needs to switch to automated control.
