Накатили, осмотрели, загрузили: на Байконуре «Союз МС-26» готовится к полёту

Авторский осмотр и накатка головного обтекателя прошли успешно, нарушений и проблем у корабля нет

According to RSC Energia, specialists in the assembly and testing facility at Site 254 conducted an author's inspection of the spacecraft today. They also placed about 130 kg of cargo for the cosmonauts in Soyuz MS-26, performed technological operations to install the fairing, and prepared the assembly and protection unit for launch readiness checks.

The cargo for the cosmonauts on the ISS includes photo and video equipment, removable storage media, consumables, personal items for the crew members, food rations, and fresh produce. Equipment for 6 scientific experiments is also being sent to the ISS.

These are the experiments:

  • «MSK-2» (a study of how space affects stem cells from bone marrow);
  • «FAGEN» (observation of changes in the genetics of bacteriophage viruses);
  • «Cytomechanarium» (study of the effects of cosmic radiation and microgravity on male germ cells of Drosophila flies);
  • «Kinetics-2» (study of the effect of weightlessness on the transition of substances from one state to another);
  • «Econ-M» (photography for environmental monitoring of land and water bodies);
  • «Interaction-2» (a study of how being on an orbital station affects relationships within the crew).

Preparation of the spacecraft for launch is almost complete. The launch will take place on September 11 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, and it will be broadcast on the social networks of Roscosmos State Corporation.
