Legendary Front-Line "Kopeyka" to Get a New Life: BMP-1 to Be Reinforced with Additional Protection

Russian Armed Forces soldiers are equipping BMP-1 combat vehicles with anti-drone and anti-mine protection kits

Military personnel of repair units not only restore, but also modernize heavy equipment, including the legendary BMP-1 "Kopeyka". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

In repair and restoration units, military personnel are engaged in restoring and modernizing combat and special equipment around the clock, equipping combat vehicles with anti-mine and anti-drone protection kits.

Before sending equipment to the front line, soldiers test all the installed innovations at a training ground in the rear area.

Studying the combat experience gained during the special military operation, we realized that it is necessary to reinforce and additionally protect the bottom of the hull. We conducted special tests and are now equipping BMP-1 and BMP-2 with additional protection.
