The Yandex team has introduced a new update to the Yandex Maps service that allows users to check the congestion of organizations throughout the day. Now, in the app, you can choose the best time to visit various places, such as restaurants, libraries, museums, zoos, MFCs, and other institutions throughout Russia.
To use the new feature, simply find the desired organization in the app, open its card, and scroll down to the section with information about congestion. The graph will show how many people visit the organization at different times of the day and on different days of the week, with labels like "usually few visitors," "usually medium congestion," or "usually many visitors."
Yandex Maps calculates congestion using a special algorithm that analyzes anonymized data about the geolocation of users who share this information in the app. Congestion graphs are updated weekly, providing users with up-to-date data.
The feature is already available in the Yandex Maps mobile app on iOS. It will soon be available on Android as well.
