The GP-46 is one of the latest innovations from the concern. Its first public presentation took place in mid-August.
Soon, this under-barrel grenade launcher will be shown abroad for the first time: at the 5th International Defense Industry Exhibition ADEX 2024. It will be held on September 24-26 in Baku.
GP-46 Characteristics
The GP-46 under-barrel grenade launcher is designed to engage enemy personnel in the field, in trenches, and in unarmored vehicles using direct or indirect fire.
The grenade launcher can be used for direct fire, against point and area targets, firing "from the shoulder" or from cover. Reloading occurs when the GP-46 barrel is rotated to the left or right.
Technical characteristics:
- grenade launcher length, mm — 380;
- caliber, mm — 40x46;
- grenade launcher weight, kg — 1.6;
- sighting range (in 50 m increments), m — 400;
- rate of fire, rounds/min — 5-6.
The GP-46 can operate in different ways. The first way to use it is attached to any Kalashnikov assault rifle that has special mounts, without interfering with firing from it. The second way is with a module — a detachable stock, allowing the GP-46 to be used as a separate weapon.
