According to a sociological survey conducted by the Russian Field research group, 61% of respondents intending to vote in the Moscow City Duma elections expressed a preference for using remote electronic voting (DEG).
The study covered 1000 Muscovites and was conducted from August 16 to 18, 2024. Of those planning to participate in the elections, 57% stated their intention to vote, with 35% preferring to do so in the traditional way — in person at polling stations.
The poll showed that interest in the elections is particularly high among women and people over 60. Notably, 67% of respondents cited the "Million Prizes" program as an additional incentive to participate in DEG. The program involves a prize draw among participants in remote voting, which significantly increases its attractiveness.
In the Moscow City Duma elections, which will be held from September 6 to 8, a new voting procedure will be introduced, giving priority to electronic forms. Voters will be able to vote remotely via the Internet or using electronic terminals at polling stations.
