Russian guided artillery projectiles "Krasnopol-M2" are capable of hitting the enemy at a distance of up to 37 km. This was pointed out by military analyst Evgeny Damantsev.
According to him, the presence of a bottom gas generator in ZOF95 "Krasnopol-M2" can provide an increase in the range of action from 25 to 27 km in comparison with the standard ZOF39 "Krasnopol" when used from 2A64 guns with a length of 47 calibers.
When used from 2A88 guns with a length of 52 calibers, installed on the 2S35 "Coalition" self-propelled guns and possessing a much higher muzzle energy and initial velocity, the range of the ZOF95 can reach 35 - 37 km.
The 155-mm guided weapon system KM-1M "Krasnopol-M2" is designed to engage stationary and moving armored and unarmored targets and enemy engineering structures.
