«Нептунов» бояться — в лес не ходить: чем Россия может ответить на новую ракету противника

Military expert Damantsev: The enemy has developed a modification of the long-range missile R-360M

The enemy has developed a modification of the multi-purpose tactical long-range missile R-360M "Neptune" with an increased fuel system volume and an increased fuselage length. Russian military personnel could strengthen the air defense barrier in various regions of the country. This opinion was expressed by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

Missile R-360M "Neptune"

According to some information, the range of the modified "Neptune" is 1000 km, which is comparable to the American high-precision missile AGM-158B JASSM-ER. With this in mind, Damantsev suggested deploying additional S-400 and Buk-M3 complexes in a number of Russian regions.

According to him, it is also necessary to install 40V6MD low-altitude detection towers with a height of 38.8 m in each anti-aircraft missile division. In addition, 92N6 illumination radars should be placed on 40V6MD towers at a distance of 65-70 km from each other. This will help to cover the "blind spots" through which Neptune missiles can fly.

For operation on ultra-low-altitude targets, additional 9S36M illumination radars on elbow-shaped mast devices should be installed in the Buk-M3 divisions. Damantsev added that it is necessary to establish patrolling of multi-functional Su-30SM/2 fighters carrying R-77-1 missiles in potentially missile-dangerous directions.
