Novosibirsk State University (NSU) presented the UAV "Zhuravl" at the "Army-2024" forum, which took place in the Moscow region. It was developed at the Institute of Intellectual Robotics (IIR) of NSU, the university's press service reported.
For UAV navigation, we have connected machine vision and object recognition algorithms. The device builds its flight path based on what it "sees", not on coordinates.
The "Zhuravl" will be able to complete the task even with an unstable signal from the global satellite system. The press service of IIR NSU added that specialists have created a number of experimental models with various software and functionality.
It is expected that the university will produce the first batch of prototypes of unmanned aerial vehicles by the end of 2024. They will be transferred to potential partners for testing.
