By 2040, Russia will have a domestic strategic nuclear submarine (SSBN) of the fifth generation. This timeframe was indicated by the Director General of the Rubin Central Design Bureau, Igor Vilnit.
The need for new ships will arise around 2040, which is just over 15 years from now.
According to Vilnit, during this period, it is necessary to carry out experimental design and research work, as well as to build and test the lead ship.
We have relevant developments that will allow us to form the technical appearance of the submarine," the Director General assured.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that at "Army-2024", a newest UAV of the "flying wing" type was presented. The speed of the aircraft is up to 120 km/h, the communication range is 60 km, and the flight duration is up to 4.5 hours.
