The Ruselectronics holding (part of Rostec) has developed a portable satellite communication station smaller than an A4 sheet and weighing less than 3 kg. It provides operation in the C-band through geostationary communication satellites.
The device is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, and the equipment deployment time does not exceed 2 minutes.
The product guarantees complete autonomy in data transmission, voice and text messaging modes. The station also provides connection via a fixed channel in point-to-point and star modes.
The station consists of a compact monoblock, a control panel with a modem and an antenna module. The small size of the station was achieved thanks to a phased antenna array.
The station can operate from a built-in battery for 6 hours of operation or an external network. The operator can control the equipment not only from the remote control included in the kit, but also from a smartphone via Wi-Fi.
