The Google Payments team has notified Russian website owners and YouTube bloggers about the termination of monetization through AdSense services.
The letter states that from now on, users whose accounts are registered in Russia lose access to monetization. This decision does not depend on the country in which the website visitor or YouTube video viewer is located.
Google Payments has promised to pay the remaining funds in the account balance if the following conditions are met: the account is not suspended for receiving payments and the payment threshold has been reached. Earnings for July will be transferred between August 21 and 26.
These measures are part of broader restrictions that Google has imposed on Russian users. Since March 2022, the company has already disabled advertising in Russia and prohibited the creation of new accounts in the Google advertising network.
