The "Mail.ru Cloud" has introduced a new feature based on artificial intelligence for automatically identifying users by face. It allows you to automatically select photos from large events, exhibitions and concerts, which will then be sent to the participants present in the pictures.
To use the new feature, users only need to download the "Cloud" application, scan a special QR code of the event and take a selfie. After the event, the face recognition technology in the "Cloud" will automatically select photos with the participation of a specific person and add them to a private folder in the owner's application. In addition, users will receive a push notification about the readiness of their photos.
For example, more than 234 thousand photos were taken at the VK Fest event. They were uploaded to the "Mail.ru Cloud", as a result of which more than 205 thousand guests were able to receive their photos without having to search for them in the general feed.
Sergey Tarasenko, Head of the "Mail.ru Cloud" product line, noted that the new function not only helps users store and share their photos, but also organizes their entire volume. Now users will be able to save time and not waste it searching for their photos from major events.
