Servicemen of the air defense forces (ADF) unit of Belarus are departing to Russia to participate in exercises with live firing, said the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the republic, Mikhail Matrosov. Belarus has also organized the transfer of military equipment, which will be used in the maneuvers, to the territory of Russia.
According to Matrosov, the exercises will be conducted throughout August. In total, about 4,000 servicemen and 150 pieces of equipment, which will be delivered by rail, will participate in them.
The main actions will be worked out at the Ashuluk military training ground in the Astrakhan region.
The execution of combat training tasks with anti-aircraft missile forces, radio engineering troops and fighter aviation is planned.
