The Iskander operational-tactical missile systems (OTRK), which are in service with the Russian Armed Forces, inflict accurate"dagger" strikes on the enemy. None of the existing air defense systems will intercept its missiles.
What objects does the Iskander-M strike:
- strongholds and command posts
- warehouses with fuels and lubricants
- warehouses with weapons
- railway and road junctions
- clusters of military equipment
The Iskander OTRK crews are on round-the-clock combat duty in any weather. From the moment the combat mission is received until the missile launch, only a few minutes pass.
The complex works effectively both from lowlands and from forest plantations. The Iskander's arsenal includes both ballistic and cruise missiles, which create false electronic interference on approach to the target. The missile can fly up to 500 km and smash a train to smithereens.
It is also impossible to detect the launch of a cruise missile, since they can fly at extremely low altitudes, bypassing even complex terrain. After firing, the self-propelled launcher leaves the starting position, moving to a camouflaged location.
