Replacing French NOMAD 65 vehicles: KMZ tests tracked modules for geological exploration

The project involved specialists from FSUE "NAMI" and PJSC "KAMAZ"

The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) holding, together with PJSC "KAMAZ" and the Research Automobile Institute (FSUE "NAMI"), has completed the first tests in Russia of tracked modules for special equipment used for geological exploration. This was announced by Mikhail Danilenko, Managing Director of KMZ.

According to Danilenko, a vibrator sends a signal into the ground, which, when reflected, allows analyzing the nature and depth of deposits. Previously, tracked modules were purchased from the French company SERCEL. We are talking about NOMAD 65 and NOMAD 65 NEO vehicles.

We have achieved maximum values in terms of travel speed in conditions of significant slope of the surface, our product coped with a slope of 20%.
