Mass production of innovative camouflage "invisibility cloaks" that blur the silhouette in the infrared (IR) range has been launched in Russia. This was reported by the developer company HiderX.
According to a company representative, 600 units are produced monthly. Currently, such suits are in high demand by the Russian Armed Forces. Camouflage is needed to protect against FPV drones, most of which are equipped with thermal imagers.
These drones search for targets by thermal signature. Accordingly, as soon as a person enters the lens at a distance of 100-200 m, a target is identified, and then the drone flies to the target autonomously.
The camouflage effect of the suit is achieved through special material processing and a broken line pattern. The weight of the product is 280-400 g, depending on the size.
