The Russian TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" heavy flamethrower system at the forefront has received additional two-tiered protection to the standard anti-cumulative anti-drone "visors". This was pointed out by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that the previous protection was represented by single-tier lattice screens covering transport and launch packages.
New mechanisms for protecting the combat vehicle will ensure the defocusing of cumulative jets of warheads of PG-7VS reactive grenades and reduce their effectiveness by 50-90%.
This is especially true for situations at the angles of encounter of cumulative warheads with an anti-cumulative screen of more than 45 degrees, Damantsev noted.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces received the first Piranha-13 FPV drone. The drone can carry out remote mining and deliver ammunition.
