Photos of New Special Transport for Servicing Russian Returnable Spacecrafts Appear

The prototype has been transferred to the Center for Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities

The special vehicle was developed by the Yaroslavl Radio Plant (part of the RKS holding of the Roscosmos State Corporation).

It will be used in the landing areas of returnable spacecraft. The transport is part of a set of tools for receiving, listening to, and recording voice communications between the crew and the search and rescue team, as well as video recording of the descent and landing of the returnable vehicle. It is noted that the specialists of the Yaroslavl Radio Plant used a KAMAZ chassis with increased cross-country ability as a base.

The van body of the vehicle has two full-fledged workplaces for personnel. Places for radio equipment and telecommunication cabinets for installing additional equipment have also been developed. More detailed characteristics of the special equipment are not known.

It is worth noting that the special vehicle will be useful not only in the future, when promising Russian returnable spacecraft "Orel" and the "Korona" launch vehicle begin to fly. Similar units of equipment are used now, when cosmonauts return from the ISS. You can read about how they are greeted, using the example of preparing for the landing of the international crew of "Soyuz MS-26" here.
