The Russian payment system "Mir" has started operating in Myanmar. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in the republic.
It is expected that this will increase the tourist flow of Russian citizens and make their stay in Myanmar comfortable.
At the moment, we can confirm that the "Mir" card system has started working in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in a limited manner: in some restaurants and shopping centers. We expect its expansion in the near future.
It is worth noting that Myanmar has become the 13th country where the "Mir" payment system operates. The system is planned to be implemented in Egypt, Mauritius and Iran. The payment system operates in Abkhazia, Belarus, Cuba and South Ossetia.
