Sollers Argo trucks now equipped with domestic gearbox

The unit is produced at the new Sollers Production of Transmissions plant

Sollers continues to localize the production of Chinese trucks. The Sollers Argo model is now equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox assembled in Russia. Its assembly started at the Sollers Production of Transmissions enterprise, which is located in the industrial park of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant.

The company's capacity is 50 thousand parts per year. The assembly line can be reconfigured for different modifications of gearboxes. It is claimed that the plant uses completely domestic software.

The Russian six-speed manual transmission is installed on Sollers Argo trucks equipped with a two-liter engine with a capacity of 130 horsepower. The engines, by the way, are also produced in Russia, at the engine plant in Yelabuga.

According to the manufacturer's idea, other Sollers models will also be equipped with domestic manual transmissions after some time.

As a reminder, Sollers Argo is a Russified version of the Chinese JAC N25/N35 trucks, the only difference between them is the gross weight.
