Russian military personnel at the forefront are actively using the self-propelled artillery gun 2S23 "Nona-SVK". During the execution of one of the combat missions, the military struck an American BMP M2A2 ODS-SA "Bradley" with high-explosive fragmentation shells ZOF49 with a range of 8855 m from a rifled gun 2A60.
Targets were hit at a distance of 7000 - 7500 m. The initial velocity of the shells is 367 m/s, which is due to the low ballistics of the rifled gun 2A60, which performs the function of a breech-loading howitzer-mortar.
A speed of 80 km/h and the amphibious capabilities of the BTR-80 chassis provide the "Nona-SVK" with greater combat stability in counter-battery duels. The gun is capable of crossing small lakes and riverbeds.
Experts call "Nona" unique because it can replace several types of weapons on the battlefield at once.
"Nona" still has no analogues in the world. After several stages of modernization, it is a mortar, a cannon, and a howitzer in one. The maximum range of firing with a high-explosive fragmentation shell is almost 9 km. At the same time, the "Nona" gun allows the use of any foreign 120-mm ammunition without any structural changes, for example, APCM from the French rifled mortar RT-61, the firing range of which is up to 17 km.
Tactical and technical characteristics of SAO 2S23 "Nona-SVK":
- Weight — 14.5 t

Maximum firing range:
- high-explosive fragmentation shell — 8.8 km
- high-explosive fragmentation mine — 7.1 km
- high-explosive fragmentation ARS — 12.8 km

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian military at the forefront used the combat wheeled robot "Scorpion-M1" and thwarted the enemy's plans to rotate personnel. The crews secretly delivered ammunition to the identified target and carried out a remote detonation, destroying the stronghold and firing point.
