The deployment of US intermediate and shorter-range missiles in various regions of the world is a cause for concern for Russia and will require a response. The country may begin production of IRBMs and subsequently, possibly, their deployment, President Vladimir Putin said at an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
Today it is known that the United States not only produces these missile systems, but has already brought them to Europe for exercises - to Denmark, and it was recently announced that they are in the Philippines. It is not known whether they took these missiles out of there or not.
The head of state noted that the country needs to react to this and make decisions about what to do in this direction next.
Apparently, we need to start production of these strike systems and then, based on the real situation, make decisions about where - if this is required to ensure our security - to place them.
Earlier, Putin admitted to changing the nuclear doctrine, taking into account the situation in the world. He reproached Western countries for accusing Russia, which allegedly "waves a nuclear club".
