Delivers equipment to the battlefield: Russia develops unique Atom parachute platform

The platform allows for the air-dropping of small-sized equipment onto the battlefield from low altitudes

Russia has created a unique Atom parachute platform that can safely deliver small-sized equipment to the battlefield. The innovation was developed at the Ryazan Airborne School.

Folding panels, like wings, are activated immediately after the dome opens. Air fills the shock-absorbing containers, creating a planning effect. The Atom with equipment can be airdropped from low altitudes - up to 200 meters. The platform is 2.5 m long and 1.2 m wide.

The platform has been successfully tested in the middle lane and even in the Arctic. The dimensions of the Atom allow you to moor any small-sized equipment.

After landing, the parachute platform can be used as a material for fortification structures, swimming equipment such as rafts, and for the construction of water crossing guidance and for the construction of field life support facilities.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces on the front line applied its analogue of the Baba Yaga drone. The UAV has been supplemented with a new discharge system that carries two mines.
