Americans Fear the Company's Ties to the Kremlin

The American administration intends to ban the sale of Kaspersky Lab software in the United States starting in September of this year. Reuters reports this, citing its sources.

Sources claim that the Russian company has privileged access to computer systems in the country. The US government, in turn, believes that Evgeny Kaspersky's company may be linked to the Kremlin and fears data leaks.

It is alleged that the ban will be announced on June 20. This will close off the possibility for the company to sell software solutions on the American market.

It is worth recalling that Kaspersky Lab is one of the top four global manufacturers of software solutions for endpoint protection. It operates in 200 countries. The head office is in Moscow.

Evgeny Kaspersky graduated from the 4th (technical) faculty of the KGB Higher School. Kaspersky Lab was created by him and Natalya Kasperskaya in 1997.
