Russia starts using software to prevent cryptocurrency-related crimes

It will allow revealing the entire transaction scheme

Law enforcement agencies in Russia have begun using special software to suppress the criminal use of cryptocurrencies. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov at the plenary session of the BRICS Prosecutors' Meeting.

The increase in the number of crimes related to the criminal circulation of cryptocurrencies and other virtual assets is of no less concern. To suppress them, special software has been developed in our country.

According to him, the number of court cases related to cryptocurrency in Russia has increased fivefold in the last two years — to 2,653 in 2023. The software helps to successfully reveal the entire transaction scheme and the chain of users involved in the process.

Earlier www1.ru reported that law enforcement agencies jointly disclosed an international criminal group that operated in this direction in Belarus, Russia, Israel and Kyrgyzstan.
