All four VPN extensions have been restricted in the Firefox browser from Mozilla for users from Russia. They became unavailable in the official catalog after a request from Roskomnadzor.
Censor Tracker and "Bypass of Runet Blocking" disappeared from the catalog, as well as the proxy services PlanetVPN, FastProxy. When trying to connect from Russia, not only these extensions are not visible, but even the files that were installed in the browser.
Mozilla explained the reason for such drastic measures:
Following recent regulatory changes in Russia, we have been receiving persistent requests from Roskomnadzor to remove five extensions from the Mozilla add-on store. After careful consideration, we have temporarily restricted their availability in Russia.
When trying to use the aforementioned extensions, the user sees an error with the code number 451. This numerical designation indicates restrictions adopted at the request of state authorities.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia developed a special program to block content on the Web.
