The new Volga car will be as good as the Czech Skoda and the German Volkswagen in terms of build quality. This forecast was made by the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin.
According to him, Nizhny Novgorod has the necessary equipment to ensure the production process at the highest level.
This means for residents, for people, for potential consumers of products, that cars will be produced at the same level of quality as Skoda and Volkswagen. The same technological processes will be present.
The head of the region added that the car may be attractive to the fleet of government bodies.
Earlier it became known that under the revived Volga brand, a D-class sedan will be produced, it was named C40, a D-class crossover - K40 and a C-class crossover - K30. All three cars will receive a 7-speed automatic and a 188-horsepower turbocharged engine. Presumably, the price of cars will start from 2.5 million rubles in the basic configuration and up to 3.5 million rubles in the maximum configuration.
At the same time, automotive experts noticed the similarity of Volga concepts with models of the Chinese brand Changan. In particular, the K30 resembles the Oshan X5 Plus, and the K40 resembles the Changan UNI-Z.
