The Russian Ministry of Defense showed how the military pass standards for working with the "Metis" and "Fagot" ATGMs. The сдачу includes preparing anti-tank missile systems for firing, changing firing positions, conducting reconnaissance with the subsequent launch of a missile and its tracking to the target.
Both of these ATGMs were developed by KBP from the "High-Precision Systems" holding of the Rostec State Corporation. They have the same semi-automatic guidance. On average, the flight speed of their projectiles is about 200 m/s, and the firing range at the enemy is up to 2 kilometers. However, there are differences between them.
"Metis-M1" hits without a miss at a distance of 80 meters to 2 kilometers even at night. It can hit fortifications and manpower of a potential enemy, it can handle stationary and moving tanks and other armored targets with dynamic protection moving at speeds up to 60 km/h.
The 130-mm "Metis" missile has a reinforced tandem warhead, which gives a penetration of at least 900-950 mm. In terms of firepower, such ammunition is similar to a large-caliber artillery shell.
"Fagot" is also designed to destroy stationary and moving targets at speeds up to 60 km/h, including armored vehicles, shelters and enemy firing assets. At the same time, it is more long-range - its maximum range of destruction is up to 4 km, depending on the missile used.
Its maximum missile flight speed is 240 m/s. But at the same time, their armor penetration is slightly weaker: up to 800 mm.
