Russian military on the front lines have crossed a unicycle and an FPV drone. The result is a remote-controlled platform that can carry up to 300 kilograms, according to the Zvezda TV channel.
The new platform will be a useful aid on the front lines, allowing for the delivery of ammunition or the evacuation of the wounded in cases where piloted equipment cannot pass. The component of the FPV platform looks simple: inside there is a massive battery, and control is remote, through a camera that works in both the day and night ranges. The camera transmits a picture to the platform operator's helmet in online mode. At the moment, the soldiers have three such prototype copies at their disposal.
We have craftsmen who gave us unicycles. We use this instance to deliver supplies, food, ammunition and to evacuate the wounded and sick.
Unfortunately, the designers of the machine did not share details about exactly which part of the unicycle was used in the manufacture of the platform. In the final version, it is clear that it was definitely not a wheel — the device has four of them, they drive rubber "tracks".
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian military successfully tested the Bishop ground robotic platform in combat conditions.
