USC Begins Shipping 11 Boats of Project MS001

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has begun shipping boats of Project MS001, which were built at the Vympel Rybinsk Shipyard by order of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for search and rescue operations.

The shipment of boats built by order of the Russian Emergencies Ministry has begun at the USC Vympel shipyard. Four boats of Project MS001 have been loaded onto automobile trailers, packed in transport film, and sent to the Moscow region.

USC noted that the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Moscow Region will receive 11 such boats in total. To date, half of the 44 vessels built have successfully passed the presentation procedure to the Military Representative Office of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. In the near future, these boats will be sent to various regions of the Russian Federation. Acceptance of the boats continues.

Boats of Project MS001 are designed to perform official and patrol tasks, as well as to conduct search and rescue operations in territorial waters and inland waters.

The length of the boat is six meters. It can reach speeds of up to 75 km/h. The hull of the vessel is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, and the superstructure is made of composite material. The lead vessel of the project has successfully passed all tests.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian Emergencies Ministry plans to receive 199 multi-purpose boats for 2.7 billion rubles.
